I appreciate that choosing someone to work with to help you make changes in your life, may seem a little daunting, which is why, prior to the start of any therapy sessions, I offer a free, 20 minute phone consultation in which you can share with me the issue for which you are seeking help and we can discuss how hypnotherapy may be able to help you. It is also a chance for me to share how I work and for you to ask any questions.
Hypnotherapy is one of the shortest forms of therapy. However, it is not a one-hit wonder therapy, or something that is just ‘done to you’, but a collaborative process and one which you can learn and develop just like any other new skill. In the same way as you might invest your time and energy to train for a 5k run to achieve a fitness goal, you need to be committed and motivated to achieve your therapy goals too.
I am absolutely committed to helping you make positive changes in your life and want to see you succeed. Which is why I work with clients for a minimum of four sessions, including the initial assessment session (90 minutes), to ensure that we provide a realistic framework for you to achieve and sustain your therapy goals and monitor progress along the way. It also gives you a chance to engage in, work on, and practice any psychological exercises, self hypnosis and other self-care tasks that we agree upon for you to do between sessions as part of the treatment plan and which help to embed the learning and any changes. Working in this way offers my clients a greater chance of success than can typically be offered in a single session and gives them the resources they need to continue accessing and sustaining these new skills, long after leaving the therapy room.
A 4-session, individually tailored, treatment plan (£350) includes:
90 minute assessment and initial mental skills training
3 x 1 hour follow-up sessions
Session notes emailed to you after each session, along with homework tasks and further reading
Progress check-ins between sessions, during the time we are working together
Follow-up support phone-call to check on progress
4-session treatment programme - £350.00
Subsequent appointments - £75.00
Full payment is made at the time of booking:
Payment via bank transfer on receipt of invoice.
Appointment duration is 1 hour (except for assessment sessions which are approximately 90 minutes). Please arrive for your appointment so we can start on time.
If you are running late for your appointment, please either call or text me on 07985 358083 as soon as you can to let me know. If I haven’t heard from you within 20 minutes from the start of the appointment, I will assume you do not plan to attend and will charge the full amount (see cancellation policy below). If you arrive late the appointment will still finish at the scheduled time and be charged at the full amount.
When you book sessions with me, you are reserving a room and my time exclusively for your needs - so I will be available and have committed my time and the clinic resources to your appointment, whether you turn up, or not. As such, I operate a cancellation policy of 48 hours notice: any sessions cancelled with 48 hours notice will be rebooked to suit you. If you do not cancel your appointment and do not show up, then it is likely I will need to charge for the session in full, as I will have committed that time to you and will therefore be unable to see other clients in that time. I do understand that there may be extenuating circumstances and so we can discuss this should the need arise.
If you need to cancel your appointment, please email hello@mindhubhypnotherapy.com call, or message, 07985 358083 stating:
That you wish to cancel
Date and time of appointment
Your name and phone number
I will then get in contact to reschedule your appointment to another date.
There may be a time when I am forced to cancel, or reschedule, but I will let you know at least 48 hours in advance unless there is an emergency, or due to unforeseen illness. Where I have to cancel our appointment, we will reschedule the appointment to suit you.
In order for therapy to be effective and beneficial it is important that the client-therapist relationship is based on trust and mutual respect. I have the right to refuse treatment if you arrive at a session under the influence of alcohol, or drugs, or if you are offensive in any way or behave inappropriately.
All my clients can be assured that any information they share with me, whether verbal or written, will remain strictly private and confidential and will only be used to assist with the purpose of therapy and achieving our therapy goals. Any information shared for the purpose of referral, or consulting with another healthcare provider, will only be done with your express permission. There are some situations, where ethically or legally I may be required to make an exception to the general rule of confidentiality, for example, where I believe disclosure is necessary to safeguard the wellbeing of yourself, or others, or where the law requires me to disclose certain information. If this is the case, then I will aim to discuss the reasons with you at the time.
Any data you share with me, whether via email, or during treatment sessions, is bound by confidentiality, as stated above and will not be shared with any third parties. For full details please see my privacy policy.
Hypnotherapy programmes are a collaborative exercise. I am wholly committed to working with you. During the course of our working together, I will invest my time, energy and expertise in you and will wholeheartedly support you in achieving your therapy goals. The success of the therapy is also reliant on you, the client. You will be required to be 100% committed & motivated and complete the exercises we agree upon. You agree to communicate honestly, be open-minded and create the time and energy to participate and engage fully in the treatment plan. Working together in this way, will greatly increase the chances of success.
